Paediatric Occupational Therapist position available in Narre Warren, Victoria, Australia.

Your working days may involve:

  • delivering therapy in people’s homes, educational settings or in the community; aimed at maximising a person’s functional skills and participation as well as promoting physical health and wellbeing
  • working part of an interdisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists and
  • providing indirect customer service/family coordination to support client goals.

About You

You’ll be an established and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them and build their capability. You’ll have an ability to work in partnership with adults and young people with a disability to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person’s supports, including their families.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model
  • the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • a willingness to improve on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you’re not familiar with
  • care for the work you do and for the people you work with
  • competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems
  • good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy), and
  • an Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across Northern Melbourne region, as required
